My intent with the homepage for Placer Wine Trail was to highlight what makes the area special and unique, to diversify it from the more polished nearby Napa. I chose photography that juxtapose your typical beautifully staged vineyards, instead featuring quirky people and adventurous views. This authentic approach feels very true to the spirit of the wineries and area.

I then designed a printed map featuring all member wineries. This map utilized custom illustrations almost as a subtle texture, and gives users added visual interest. Whenever possible, I love adding a bear to my designs, so see if you can spot it.
